The wellness world wasn't built in her language.
Millions of Latinas navigate work, money, family, and identity with wellness tools that are English-first, generically "mindful," and culturally flat. Journaling apps and mood trackers capture data; they don't hold a conversation, and they don't sound like her.
Elara starts from the opposite end: a companion that speaks Spanish first, understands cultural context, and is built around emotional clarity — not streaks, not badges.
4,610 women told us what v1 should be.
Instead of designing in a vacuum, we put the concept in front of the exact women it's for. Through my co-founder Alejandra Ramirez's 1.8M+ engaged Latina audience, we gathered 4,610 survey responses before writing a line of product.
The signal was consistent: they didn't want another tracker. They wanted something that felt like a daily check-in with someone who gets it — in their language — that gently builds a habit instead of adding one more thing to feel behind on.
A daily companion, not another journaling app.
Elara opens on a personalized Today compass — a warm greeting, the day's active Path, and two or three small reflections. It's designed to take two minutes and leave her clearer, not guiltier.

Onboarding by voice, in her season of life.
Rather than a cold form, onboarding is a spoken conversation. She talks; Elara listens and reflects back the season she's in — new motherhood, a career pivot, a hard year — and tailors her Paths from there. Voice lowers the barrier and sets the emotional tone from screen one.

Guided Paths that build the habit.
The core loop is a multi-day Path — like Money Clarity — that unfolds one reflection at a time. Each day is a small prompt ("Pause before you spend"), a moment of input, and a result that carries into tomorrow. Seven days in, it's a habit, not a novelty.
This is the retention engine, designed before the growth tactics — because a companion people forget about isn't a business.
A Path from library → day one → day seven: the retention loop, start to finish
A companion that actually speaks her language.
Between the structured Paths, Elara is a Spanish-first conversational companion — there for the 11pm spiral or the quiet win. The AI is scoped to reflection and clarity, with warmth and boundaries designed in, not bolted on afterward.

Private reflection, shared belonging.
Reflections resolve into a clear read on where she actually is — her Clarity. And a Circle lets women share small, anonymous echoes, so the work feels held instead of lonely. Individual depth, collective belonging: the two things wellness apps usually make you choose between.

Product, brand, and pitch through one hand.
Elara is pre-launch, raising a $500K pre-seed. Unlike the client work on this site, this is my own build — which means the MVP, the brand, the retention model, and the investor narrative all run through the same hand. The version that ships has to be usable and fundable at the same time.
